Netti What?.....Oh, Netti Pot

I've already endured one sinus infection this winter, and now once again I think I'm going to endure another. The last time I was sick Laura told me about something she called a Netti Pot. Yeah...that's what I said to, netti what? I guess I figured, hey I'm on an antibiotic, surely it will clear up here pretty soon. I didn't really think I needed something called a "Netti Pot" to help me w/ my sinus infection. Then here two days ago the sinuses starting burning & hurting again!! First thing I thought of was the Netti Pot. Because honestly I don't think the antibiotic I was on previously did much good, it seemed as if my body still took it's own sweet time of clearing it all up!! So this morning Preston Lee and I go over to the pharmacy here in town & ask for the "Netti Pot". Sure enough, D.J. new exactly what I was talking about. So I get to lookin' at it, and all it is, is a little plastic tea pot! What you do is you fill it up w/ warm water, add the packet of solution, bend at your waist in front of the sink, turn your head to the side, put the "spout" up to your nare (nostil) & start slowly pouring. As you pour this solution into your nose, it begins to come out the other nare!!! The solution rinses out your sinus cavity. I know it sound horrible & torturous, but I promise you if I can do it, anyone can. I cannot even swim under water w/out holding my nose....so believe you me, I was worried when I tried it. But sure enough, the burning & pressure that I was feeling in my nose began to go away. I've used this "tea pot" twice this evening, and plan on continuing to do so until these sinuses are cleared up. I just wonder who invented this Netti Pot? And why is it called Netti? Who knows, all I know is it has already helped me get some relief. Sooo....if you know anyone having sinus/allergy problems...the Netti Pot rocks!!!!! :):)

Okay...sorry if I grossed you out w/that story, I'll move on to more pleasant things. I went & saw a movie last Friday!!! After Lisa's Tasefully Simple party, She & I, Brandi & Becky went in to Chadron & watched Fools Gold. Not quite as good as How To Lose a Guy in 10 Days....but it was pretty funny. I went to Bible study class last night after Justin got home from work. Preston Lee stayed home w/Daddy & played. I'm thinking tomorrow about making that trip to the library that I've needed to make for the last few weeks. Hopefully tomorrow I will feel much better too.
