With all that being said, yes we've been crazily busy like everyone else :) Last week we had Vacation Bible School and it was GREAT! God blessed us with 46 children the very first day! We were so excited about that. On Tuesday the number was down a little, but it picked right back up on Wednesday & Thursday. Friday was our VBS Finale & parents were invited to come at the end of the day (noon) and watch the kids perform/sign all 10 songs they had learned during the week. As a Crew Leader all week at VBS my station was titled "Cinema Science". I got off pretty easy...I played a DVD for the children then held a discussion group afterwards. Well maybe I didn't get off so easy b/c I did have Preston Lee right there w/me every day talking to all the kids...asking them about their braces on their teeth.....asking them for their gum they were chewing & so on! We did have some pretty interesting group discussions though. I truly enjoyed each day of it all & look forward to next year.
We had church on Sunday then right afterwards Justin, Preston, & I hooked up the camper & went camping again. We are really starting to enjoy having the camper :) Preston & I were constantly hearing a Bear outside the camper though!?! Every time the water pump would go off Preston would ask me what the noise was, so I told him it was probably a Bear outside the camper. I asked Preston if he wanted to go looking for the Bear....he said YES!!! So off we went hunting for Bear tracks (yes, this was during the day:) Preston thoroughly enjoyed Bear hunting! Last camping trip we did "Rock Roundup". We found rocks that we wanted to paint on our next camping trip. So this camping trip we painted our rocks. Preston had paint on him from head to toe....wow was he ever a mess! And of course we made Smores....only to find that Preston was sneaking the candy bars off the picnic table while Justin was roasting the marshmallows. He's sneaky!!! We came home early Monday morning b/c I had to be in Chadron that morning.
Tuesday (today) I had to be over at the church at 10am to help take down all our decorations from VBS. Much easier to take down than to put it all up! Justin, Bill (our pastor) and a few other guys from church moved a piano into our house today. Yep...a piano! A VERY OLD PIANO! It's an old upright piano that the church no longer had a need for, so I greatly accepted it. I figure it will serve the purpose for Preston Lee to clang on & who knows maybe I'll take some lessons too! It will also give me something to work on this winter.....I'd like to refinish it, it's definitely in the need of some work.
That pretty much sums up our busy little lives up to today. Tomorrow there is nothing scheduled & I LOVE it! Hope you're all doing well & God Bless
