A Prayer Request for Miss Addi

A small bump in the road today....

When Addi's stomach is aspirated before feedings, they are finding the residual to be a green color. The green color is usually indicative of infection. So, prophylactically they have her on a couple I.V. antibiotics & have been doing x-rays to monitor her G.I. system. At this point all looks fine, but we are still waiting on some blood work that is being cultured. We should have the results in the morning. Today it was very obvious that Addi was not feeling herself. She usually looks like she's lounging in the sun, but today she was guarding her stomach & grimacing most of the day. I am claiming God's promises & believing that He is taking care of this situation too. Addi is now down to only 2 liters of oxygen, almost at room air. She was taking 18 ml's of breast milk through her N.G. tube, every 3 hours. But now with this bump in the road Addi is NPO for a while, meaning NO MOMMY'S MILK :( When she can start having milk again, we will have to start back @ 3 ml's at each feeding & work our way back up. BUT I do have some awesome news.....the eye exam that Addi has to have done @ 4 weeks, it can be done in Scottsbluff. So, if she is well enough by 4 wks, she will be transferred to Scottsbluff, vs. staying here in Denver.

I hope my rambling made sense to you all, if not, sorry ;) Well it's time to get back upstairs & do some pumping :) Thanks again everyone for all your thoughts & prayers. Gods grace is sufficient for me!!

*** My friend Shana, from Missouri.....she flew here to Denver!! She SURPRISED me by showing up Saturday morning. She flew back home this evening (Monday). Thank you God for awesome best friends. I love you Shana & Clayton (& Mary, Shana's Mom-n-Law)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
