Our latest happenings....

Well since I blogged last Addison was diagnosed with RSV, she's now over that and back to her happy little self. She started out with a cough, congestion and a fever. By the weekend she was getting no sleep at all and just miserable and lethargic. I took her to the clinic on Saturday and was told she had a virus. I was doing everything I could to keep her hydrated and make her comfortable. Three days later was her scheduled 1 year well child visit that turned into a sick child visit. Dr. Guerue heard Addison cough and immediately said "that's an RSV cough". After listening to her lungs Dr. Guerue said she knew Addison had RSV, we could test her, but it wasn't necessary because she was treating her for RSV regardless. Thank goodness! She started Addison on an antibiotic and breathing treatments every 4 hours till cough subsides. After two days of breathing treatments Addison was feeling much better. She is now back to her busy little self, crawling around the house as fast as she can go, and constantly getting into all of Preston's toys because they are the best toys in the house :)

Not sure if this happened since my last blog post, but Preston managed to scratch the cornea of his left eye in three different places. He was playing at Jaxon's house and ran right into a chair. I guess his eye was WIDE open when he ran in to it, and the fibers of the chair material scratched his eye. Justin was headed out to work and that left me to take Preston (and Addison) to the ER. It was quite an experience. It took 5 of us to hold Preston down numerous times over a 2 hour period to instill eye drops. The next day Preston bounced back pretty well from it. His eye was feeling much better, but we still had to instill eye drops every 4 hours for the next couple of days. Honestly, I was NOT successful at getting them in his eye every 4 hours....more like once a day, lol. His eye healed just fine.

Oh I almost forgot, while driving to the clinic on that Saturday to have Addison seen, Preston pukes everywhere! He had the stomach flu that was circulating through our community.

Yep LOTS of fun around here! But I do think everyone is well now and we're soooo ready for spring!

I hope everyone is doing well. God bless.
