Friday evening our church had it's 3rd annual Fall Festival, consisting of a chili and pie cook off, a carnival for the children, AND our 3rd annual Pickle Spitting contest. Yes you read that correctly :)
I entered an Apple Crumb pie and a crock pot of Chili into the contest. My chili took 2nd place! WooHoo! Brooke Heine's chili took 1st place. There were 9 chili contestants and I believe the same for pie.
After enjoying chili and pie with all our church friends/family, the children headed upstairs to enjoy their carnival. Laura Bagley provided LOTS of games and prizes. Preston Lee loved the games and enjoyed helping too.
The close of the evening was our 3rd annual Pickle Spitting contest. It was hilarious to say the least. And yes you will only find people having a pickle spitting contest here in Mayberry :) If I get a hold of some pictures I will be sure and share with ya! Preston Lee scored better than me and Justin. Way to go Preston Lee, way to spit those pickles!
Today (Saturday) I spent the day doing laundry, cleaning the house (upstairs and downstairs) and taking care of my little peeps.
I think I'm getting close to dragging out the Christmas stuff, although I will not put up a Christmas tree this year till after Thanksgiving, due to my son being 4!

Sounds like a fun evening! You do make some awesome chili! Looking forward to the pics!
Addison looks so grown up! It looks like your family is doing really well. And, I must say I never heard of a pickle spitting contest, but it sounds like a hoot!
