Let Him Walk & He Will Run!

Preston Lee went to see the Dr. this past Monday & everything checked out great! We have about 10 more days to go in the cast & we're out of it! Yay! Just a few days before we went to this last dr. appointment Preston Lee had started walking on his cast. Talk about bringing tears to your eyes, seeing your little guy in a cast & so sincerely saying "look Mommy, I can walk!" My heart dropped & I said "yes Preston you can!" There was NO way I was going to tell him NO. He walked back & forth from the couch to the loveseat as if it was the first time ever. I just watched him, smiled and held back my tears. As soon as Dr. Johnson walked into the room Monday Preston told him "cut my cast". He was sooo thinking it was time for it to come off. Dr. Johnson explained to him he can now walk on it & next time we see him he'll take the cast off. Let Him Walk & He Will Run! Preston doesn't just walk on it, he RUNS everywhere! Yesterday Preston Lee decided he was ready to paint his cast & so we did. Below are a couple pictures of it.

The weather we are having is NO surprise to me. One year ago it was the EXACT same thing. And I LOVE it!!! Last year was our first winter here in NE & we had a blast with the snow. I know this winter will only be more fun now that Preston is much more adventurous :)

Well off to bed I go.....very busy day tomorrow & I'm still trying to get over the crud so sleep I do need. Have a great day everyone & remember the Fall Festival tonight :)
