Oh I'm soooo tired. Tired & stuffed. My feet hurt, my belly is full. My back hurts, oh how I could use a massage.
Preston & I was up @ 6:30 this morning, nothing unusual. But by 7:00 I was baking/cooking away. Justin was up at 4:00 this morning to go duck hunting, crazy guy! Our dinner menu was the following:
1. Turkey
2. Mashed potatoes/ turkey gravy
3. Apple/Sausage Stuffing
4. Sweet Potatoes with marshmallows
5. Scalloped Corn
6. Rolls
7. French Silk pie (made 2, one for us & one for the Eagles Club)
8. Pumpkin pie
Everything turned out DELICIOUS!! My apple/sausage stuffing was the BEST I've ever had! It was superb! And the French Silk Pie, well let's just say it melts in your mouth :) Yummy! My turkey was a little dry, I didn't get to watch it as close as I should have b/c we went to the Eagles Club for lunch & ended up staying a couple hours visiting & hanging out with Frank & Marietta.
Today is my sister's 39th Birthday! Happy Birthday Sis! Don't know why I'm even typing Happy Birthday to her, b/c she rarely reads my blog ;)---- She's just not a email/bloggin' type person. She's on a computer all day at work, and says when she gets home it's the last thing she wants to do, be on the computer. I don't blame her a bit. Though at times I do call her & tell her she better read a post I wrote (usually consisting of pics of Preston) and she does :)
This was the first Thanksgiving in a long time that Justin was home. Before the RR he was a police officer & I honestly don't think he ever had a Thanksgiving or Christmas off during that career. So I am VERY thankful today that Justin was able to spend Thanksgiving with us.
I'm also very thankful today that Preston got to spend some phone time with Auntie, Uncle Eli, MiMa & PaPa, Granny, Great Aunt DeeAnnie & Nanna.
Well it's time for me to relax & get ready for a busy, busy day tomorrow of decorating the monster (christmas tree).
Happy Thanksgiving everyone & God Bless.
